Hey Sactown Fam!
You know what? Winter can get pretty darn chilly, both weather-wise and mood-wise. But instead of letting the blues bite my ankles, I decided to fight back! Turns out, the cure was just a hike away, nestled in the glorious arms of Folsom Lake.
I tackled the Granite Loop Trail, It wasn't easy, my lungs were wheezing like a winded accordion, but with each step, I felt a bit of that wintry worry peel away. It was like nature was giving me a high five.
Navigating the real estate world for the first time is a bit like setting out on a new adventure. It can be confusing and a bit overwhelming, a bit like my lungs struggling during the hike. But just like I found the beauty of nature along the way, you'll discover the joy of having a place to call your own.
Today, I've got some helpful tips for our first-time homebuyers because, let's be honest, figuring out the ropes can feel a bit like exploring uncharted territory. So, embrace the journey to it’s fullest, as the feeling of owning that first home is a huge sense of accomplishment. Sacramento Kings Roundup: A Bright Spot Against the Warriors and Looking Ahead

Kings Hang Tough Against Warriors: Despite missing key players like Keegan Murray, the Kings battled hard and edged out the Warriors 134-133 in a thrilling NBA Rivals Week matchup.
Murray's Status Uncertain: The absence of Murray, who has been dealing with lower back soreness, is definitely a concern. His availability for the upcoming game against the Phoenix Suns on Friday is still up in the air, and his absence could be a major blow to the Kings' already thin frontcourt.
Restaurant Review!
Aioli de Bodega in Sacramento

A few days ago we hit the the town with some of close friends and decided to try out Aioli de Bodega, the spanish place in Midtown Sac!
Forget fancy vacations and overpriced flights! We have a taste of Spain right here in Sactown at Aioli Bodega Española. This place isn't just a restaurant – it's a portal to Barcelona! The buzz of happy chatter, the flamenco tunes, and the smell of garlicky aioli practically had us saying "hola!" before we even sat down.
We dug into the starters, each bite bursting with flavor thanks to the perfectly cooked prawns. Then came the melt-in-your-mouth seafood on a bed of rice, which was the perfect salty-sweet combo. It was like every bite was a mini fiesta in our mouths!
So, if you're looking for a warm escape and a culinary adventure, skip the travel hassles then head to Aioli Bodega Española. No passport needed, just grab some friends and your appetite – you're in for a taste of Spain you won't forget!

Authentic Spanish Churros

Unfortunately we had to skip dessert as I had to venture out early on hike the next day. We made up for it by making some to die for authentic churros at home with the girls. It was perfect for warming up on a chilly Sactown night. It was a winner! Do try it out!
Ingredients:
1 cup water
2 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts oil for frying
1/2 cup white sugar, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring the mixture to a boil and then remove it from the heat. Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
Heat the oil for frying in a deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Use a thermometer to ensure the correct temperature.
Transfer the dough to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil using scissors or a sharp knife to cut the dough. Fry churros until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while still warm.
Serve the churros warm and enjoy!
These homemade churros are a delightful treat, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for dipping in chocolate sauce or caramel!
